About the 1990s Version:

Charles is a bit of a delinquent, so his parents send him to his aunt and uncle in a small Canadian town. One of his new classmates is Francis, who plays the bass guitar in a not-too-successful grunge band and is in dire need of somebody with a car to carry him and his equipment all around the Territory.

Francis isn’t really all that much down with the whole playing music to become famous rockstars thing, but he’s the only one the other bandmembers could talk into playing bass (that can actually sort of keep a rythm too).

Charles would never admit it, but he’d love to be in any kind of band (alcohol and parties and girls and whoo-ee)… Too bad he’s terrible at music and so he’s doomed to play taxi driver for his lanky friend.

About the Reversal!AU:

Francis has to detain Charles, who gets in trouble because of his short temper. (That’s what you get for buying robots made in Scotland)

But Constable Francis has a soft spot for irritable little surgeon bots and  it seems like his presence has a calming effect on Charles, who, after several grumpy apologies, is allowed back in the hospital.
